Head Coach, overall program—responsible for program direction, field preparation, and oversight of four teams: 8th Grade Varsity, 7th Grade Varsity, 7th Grade JV, and 7/8 Combo JV.

For more than twenty years, coaching has been where preparation, teamwork, responsibility, and personal growth meet competition.
Coaching philosophy
TEAM > SELFSmart players with good attitudes can be more valuable than great athletes who never learn to play together.
I want players to understand the game, prepare with purpose, take responsibility for their role, and compete with discipline. Winning matters, but sportsmanship, growth, and the lessons players carry beyond a season matter too.
Like technical leadership, coaching means making complicated ideas understandable, creating conditions for other people to succeed, and knowing when to teach, when to listen, and when to let someone solve the problem.
Programs & teams
Bellevue Legion, Orofino High School, Troy High School, Moscow High School, Orofino youth baseball, Orofino Babe Ruth, regional travel teams, and board service.
My final Orofino Babe Ruth team won its league tournament.
On the court
Varsity assistant and JV head coach for Orofino girls basketball; head coach for the Orofino Junior High 8th grade boys; and youth boys and girls teams through the Lewis-Clark Valley Boys & Girls Club.
An 11–1 season
The Orofino 8th grade boys finished 11–1. The record is a good memory; the more lasting measure is what a group learns about trust, discipline, and playing for one another.
